The 12STD versions also benefit from a softer rubber compound (85A), a hardness made possible by the contact nature of 12STD wheels. These wheels also introduce a new type of 12STD bearing: the 6901. Compared to the 6001, they are lighter and have comparable strength to the 608, while retaining the advantage of 12mm axles, and their optimization of stress and weight on peripheral parts.
